Job Description:

The Austin area Bunkhouse Hotels are looking for a Complex Pastry Chef to support the hotels' culinary programs, ensuring quality products that accurately represent and align with each location. The Complex Pastry Chef reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage. This role is responsible for the production of baked goods, desserts, and pastries for the Austin area Bunkhouse Hotels and overall guest satisfaction. Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Supervising, coaching, training, and scheduling pastry cooks
• Maintain standards and procedures to consistently conduct an accurate inventory
• Ensure compliance with Local, State, & Federal compliance
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area

Qualifications

Qualifications:
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Typically requires specialized training or education in pastry.
- This position may have to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on a daily basis; anything over fifty (50) pounds is considered a minimum two (2) person lift
- This position may require the person to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day
